Carol has led technology teams and implemented technology strategies to move businesses and teams to their next level of growth for over 20 years.
Focusing on the financial benefit and value of IT, Carol has developed and architected strategies which that facilitate rapid business growth while reducing costs. Leading talented technicians in collaboration with savvy business leaders, Carol is always focused on the most effective and affordable tools for acquiring new business and increasing customer satisfaction.
Carol has worked with executives to solve significant business problems and conduct mergers and acquisitions within the parameters of complex regulatory compliance. She has served as CIO for Duratek, EnergySolutions, Nelson Laboratories and FranklinCovey. Carol has an Associate of Arts from Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University) in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing (Journalism) and a Master of Arts in Publications Design from the University of Baltimore.
She began her career in IT as a Novell Netware Admin, while multi-tasking in her day job as “Project Manager & Creative Coordinator” for an ad agency in Baltimore. As an active member of the community, Carol is past Board Chair of the Utah Food Bank (UFB). Carol has served as an Advisory Board member of the Women Tech Council and is a member of the Utah AIM CIO group. Carol regularly participates in panels, technical conferences and speaks at area colleges on IT Leadership, networking and building bridges of understanding to achieve business success.
Carol has been distinguished as one of Utah’s 30 Women to Watch and has received the Women Tech Council Award for Leadership Excellence.
